Our art classes are for exploring techniques. They are generally small so it is similar to having private lessons for a reasonable price.
July 16 11am-Polymer Clay Bead Bracelet- Age 6+: Participants will choose 3 colors of polymer clay and then mix them together to make a marble clay. We then cut and shape that into beads. While they cook, participants pick out other premade glass, wood, and plastic beads to accent the beads they made. -$12
July 16 Recycled Jewelry 6pm-7:30pm Age 12+: Participants use paper that has been pre-collaged with colors. They cut the paper into earring shape and then we seal it with wax. We add earring hardware and extra beads if desired. Participants can also bring in old jewelry that we can disassemble and remake into other jewelry.-$25
July 17 Draw 3D 11am: Age 8/9+ : Learn to draw in 3d by learning 1,2, and 3 point perspective. Learn about foreshortening and how they make comic book figures. We will learn basic 3D shapes and how to morph them into other objects.-$12
July 17 Handmade Paper 6pm: Age 12+: Participants will learn the process of making paper. We can add floral elements and natural color. Participants will make their own paper to take home.-$20
Acrylic Layer Painting: Participants will learn how to add different mediums to acrylic paint to thin, thicken, and add texture. This increases the options for using acrylic paint.
Collage Technique: Participants will learn how to use collage to decorate objects.
Beginning Crochet: Participants will learn basic crochet stitches and understand how to increase and decrease stitches to design pieces.
